From funding issues to new research programs to campus safety concerns, 2023 had many wins and challenges for the nation's historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs). Dr. Dietra Trent, Executive Director of the White House Initiative on HBCUs, gives a year-in-review as well as forecasts issues HBCUs can look forward to in 2024.
