Nike Basketball hasn’t been shy in 2014 about ratcheting up the devotion to Kevin Durant and his KD VI shoe. The marketing investment is paying off: Just this month, Forbes reported that sales of Durant’s signature shoe skyrocketed 400 percent in 2013.
Themes of the latest iteration of the KD sneaker included a tribute to his late aunt.
Now that’s he and the Thunder are primed for a deep playoff run, Nike’s all in — again.
