One of the most popular third party apps is Hootsuite, which allows you to manage multiple social network accounts (including Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook) simultaneously. Two of Hootsuite’s key features are scheduling tweets in advance and integrating analytics (i.e. your clicks stats). In addition to the desktop interface, there’s also a mobile version that allows you to manage your account on the go.

Whether you’re a social media professional or just learning the social ropes, a reliable social media management tool can prevent social networking overload. There are numerous tools available, from Buffer to Social Flow, but HootSuite is a favorite among the tools. The web-based management tool has a user-friendly interface that allows users to connect their WordPress, Foursquare, LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and Google+ accounts to the platform. Forget the tab toggling!

Here’s how you can take your social media game to the next level with HootSuite:

Get Organized:

After setting up your account and logging in, HootSuite will walk you through connecting your networks and organizing the streams. The menu tab will display the networks connected to your HootSuite account, which, from there, will allow you to select the streams you’d like to monitor like your timeline, mentions and scheduled tweets. While HootSuite is optimized for managing Twitter accounts, users can post to their personal Facebook and LinkedIn accounts, as well as groups and pages of which they are an administrator or member.
