From CNNMoney

A recent survey by the Kaiser Family Foundation found that employer-sponsored health insurance plans reached $15,745 in 2012, up 4 percent from last year. On average, workers contribute $4,316 from their paychecks to foot this bill. That’s about $358 per month an employee needs to plan to spend for a family plan these days.

Experts say this 4 percent increase is good compared to the 9 percent increase from the previous year. Nonetheless employee wages have only seen a 1.7 percent increase so the average worker is still reducing their bring-home pay to accommodate for the rising cost of insurance.
