One of the largest initial public offerings in U.S. history is off to a strong start. Facebook shares started trading at $42.05 per share on Friday around 11:30am EST on the Nasdaq Stock Market, an increase from Thursday’s $38 IPO. This brings the social media company’s valuation to $116.6 billion.
