Today, June 21, the African American Festival, sponsored by Pepsi, has kicked off in Baltimore, Maryland. Crowds have come out to enjoy music performances, giveaways and health and business advocacy resources.

Among the tents are Black Enterprise’s, which includes a golf simulation game, green screen for participants to be on the magazine cover and a booth for Shark Tank’s Rodney Sampson’s latest book, “Kingonomics.” Pepsi’s tent kicked off the fun with an empowerment session featuring author and motivational powerhouse Valeisha Butterfield-Jones, moderated by Kwame Jackson, CEO of Krimson by Kwame.

The empower session includes a meet-and-greet and book signing with Butterfield-Jones, author of The Girl Print.

Check out throughout the day for updates from this phenomenal event.
