When Warren Thompson founded Thompson Hospitality L.L.C. in 1992, he had just acquired 31 Bob’s Big Boy restaurants. More than 17 years later, the Virginia-based company serves more than 10,000 meals daily in dining centers in 40 domestic locations and 4 international countries.

The food service firm’s portfolio includes large corporate accounts American Express, Microsoft, and IBM. Thompson also operates food service programs with 20 historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) including Morgan State University, which accounts for $5 million of the company’s revenue.
