paula deen smilingPaula Deen is known for her southern cooking and big personality. A personality that may have gotten her into some trouble recently.

Deen recently became involved in a lawsuit with the former general manager of her Georgia restaurant, Lisa Jackson. Jackson claims Deen used the n-word repeatedly and that she was sexually harassed by Deen’s brother, Bubba.

In her deposition for the suit, Deen admits to using the n-word and telling racist jokes. She also admits to requesting black men and women to dress up as slaves for a wedding she was planning; an idea she got from a restaurant she dined at with her husband.

“I mean, it was really impressive. That restaurant represented a certain era in America…after the Civil War, during the Civil War, before the Civil War…It was not only black men, it was black women…I would say they were slaves.”

What an ignorant woman. How sad for her that in spite of her wealth and success she is still so unenlightened as it pertains to the treatment of others and the sensitivity we should all try to show for people of all races and ethnicities. I stopped watching her television cooking years ago because her food was so blatantly unhealthy (i.e., a lot of butter, sugar, fried foods, huge portions, etc.). Please share this information with Oprah Winfrey. She hosted Paula Deen on the OWN a year or so ago. I’m sure Oprah will want to know the true caliber of the woman who entertained her in her home overnight.

  • I’m sure Oprah already knows #pauladeen character after that horrible disrespectful episode when she was bossin #Oprah around like a slave.
