Ertharin Cousin Moore has been named vice president of government and community affairs at Jewel-Osco in Melrose Park, Illinois. She is charged with liaisoning with government agencies, community organizations and the media on behalf of the Chicago food and drug retailer. Previously, she served as director of government business and community affairs for the Presidential Inaugural Committee in Washington.
William E. Madison has been appointed vice president of human resources, U.S. region, at Du Pont in Wilmington, Delaware. Among his other responsibilities, Madison will work to restructure and build the human resources functions in the U.S. chemicals and specialties area. Previously, he served as vice president of human resources and quality for U.S. customer operations at Xerox in Stamford, Connecticut.
Kenneth Abrams has been appointed manager of advertising and promotion for the Baltimore Ravens of the NFL. Abrams will oversee all the clubg’s year-round promotional efforts such as off-season caravans, fantasy camps, game-day entertainment programs and media projects for the football franchise. Prior to his appointment, he served as an account executive with Trahan Burden & Charles in Baltimore.
Robert Q. Miller has been named vice president of national accounts and merchandising at Wittnauer International in New Rochelle, New York. Miller is responsible for all national sales accounts for the fine watch company. With more than 25 years in the watch and jewelry industries, he most recently served as Southeast regional sales manager for Swiss Army Brands in Texas.
James Thomas has been promoted to vice president of electronics sector procurement at Lockheed Martin Corp. in Moorestown, New Jersey. Thomas will be responsible for all the electronic sector procurement activities, which includes overseeing 2,000 employees at 14 locations making annual purchases of $3 billion. Previously, he served as vice president of the mid-Atlantic region’s Materials Acquisition Center.
