[Successful people] have dedicated themselves to life-long learning. I mean, you don’t go to school for one period of your life; you’re in school every day of your life. Successful people confront life as if they are about to have a major exam. The average individual won’t take the time to get the information.

There is a lot of education going on all around you, and the biggest mistake you can make in life is to turn your back to it, and a lot of us do that. There are 600,000 words in the English language, and the average adult uses the same 1,200 words over and over again. Only 3% of Americans have a library card. Fifty-eight percent of adults never read a book after high school. You find me a house in Atlanta that sells for over a quarter-million dollars, and you’ll find a library built into it. The bigger the house, the more personal volumes you’ll find in the library. The smaller the house, the bigger the television set.
