HBO Orders Lydia Diamond’s Broadway Play “Stick Fly”

The Alicia Keys-produced play will get a run on cable TV

stick fly“Stick Fly,” a play that chronicles a weekend of secrets, prejudice, hypocrisy and adultery of a family’s weekend stay at their home in Martha’s Vineyard, is being made into a series for HBO.

The play, adapted by Lydia Diamond and produced by Alicia Keys and Reuben Cannon, will have Keys and Nelle Nugent executive producing along with HBO.

The cast included Ruben Santiago-Hudson, Dulé Hill, Mekhi Phifer, Tracie Thoms, and Condola Rashad and had a run from December 08, 2011 to  February 26, 2012.
