With savvy skills at a premium, maybe it's time to step up your game

Oftentimes, unemployment can bring on a change in many things, including what you thought you wanted to do for a living. If you’ve been jobless for a while, it might be a good time to consider other avenues — ie industries— to spread your wings. Or maybe you could diversify your skills in the industry you’re already in.

Tech skills and jobs are at a premium, as these professionals are reported to be the least likely to be unemployed. Brazen Careerist details a rundown of unemployment for top tech jobs that is quite telling:

Computer and information research scientists: 0.9%

Network and computer systems administrators: 1.7%

Chief executives/CIOs: 1.8%

Computer and information systems managers: 2.2%
