Here at the BLACK ENTERPRISE offices, an upcoming article that will appear in the May issue about finance tips for new college grads sparked a lively debate. One piece of advice we were deciding whether or not to include was that new college grads should move back home with their parents. Some of the editors argued that it made good financial sense. They felt it was a better than struggling to make ends meet and possibly getting into more debt. Others felt that this arrangement would teach young adults to rely too heavily on their folks and forget about their independence.

I think it makes much more sense for fresh graduates to move back with their parents. It will save them rent and living expenses until they get jobs they can rely on.
